Councillor Sameera Ali is an experienced municipal leader with over eight years of service on Milton and Halton Councils, where she has been a strong advocate for inclusive, community-focused leadership in one of Canada’s fastest-growing and most diverse communities.

A recipient of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Leadership Award, Sameera has been recognized nationally for her commitment to public service and collaborative governance. She also serves as a member of the Halton Police Board, where she brings a community-informed lens to public safety and accountability.

Beyond her work in government, Sameera has managed both local and provincial political campaigns, giving her firsthand insight into how campaigns can effectively connect with voters. Living and working in Milton, a deeply multicultural and rapidly evolving community, she understands the importance of authentic engagement, cultural awareness, and building trust across diverse populations.
