Vijai Kumar Singh is a seasoned public policy professional with diverse experience at the international, national, and local levels. He currently serves as Manager of Policy and Government Relations in Brampton, where he focuses on local economic development and community wealth building. His work is rooted in advancing progressive policy outcomes, including affordable housing, liveable communities, and improved public transit.

Previously, Vijai led the MP Exit Interview project at the Samara Centre for Democracy and contributed to the award-winning podcast Humans of the House, which offered a rare, behind-the-scenes look at political life in Canada’s House of Commons.

Vijai also co-hosts the podcast Never Bored of Trade, providing thoughtful commentary on Brampton-based issues. His media contributions include special election coverage for Y Media, and he has been featured on national platforms such as CBC’s The National. Vijai is the co-founder of a music collective called Third Space dedicated to celebrating Indian classical music by curating intimate, community-focused concert experiences.
