Throughout his career, Aleem Kanji has held leadership positions across both the public and private sectors. His experience includes roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Pearson Airport, and the City of Kitchener, as well as serving as Vice President at a national public affairs firm.

His background spans economic development, public policy, urban planning, and strategic communications. Through these roles, Aleem has worked on issues related to infrastructure, economic growth, public engagement, and government relations at multiple levels.

Aleem Kanji holds an Undergraduate Degree in Urban Planning and a Master’s degree in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo. In 2019, he was recognized as one of the world’s top 50 Smart Cities leaders for his work connected to innovation, economic development, and city building.

In addition to his professional work, Aleem frequently provides political commentary for major media networks and lectures at several Ontario universities on economic development and public policy related topics.

His experience offers a practical perspective on how municipalities, businesses, and public institutions navigate communications, stakeholder relations, and policy challenges in rapidly changing environments.
